You may submit the completed PDF of the Display Space Reservation Form electronically by e-mail. You should save the completed form to your computer first and then e-mail it as an attachment. The online History Hero Nomination Form cannot be submitted electronically and must be printed out, signed, and delivered by hand or by regular mail via the Post Office or other postal carrier.
In completing the Display Space Reservation Form, remember to mark if you need electricity or WiFi. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis, and the availability of these resources is limited to certain areas of the capitol rotunda. We ask that you not request electricity if you do not intend to use it, however. Each year, more and more displayers want electricity, and we have had to tell latecomers that they can only have it if someone who requested it first cancels. Computers and other electronic devices provide opportunities to present your organization in visually exciting ways; however, they aren’t always absolutely necessary. Be creative! Please check one of the table options, too.
Also regarding the Display Space Reservation Form, in addition to organization name, we must have the name, complete mailing address, and phone number for your organization’s contact person. We are required to provide this information to General Services before History Day.
We will send notification of receipt of these forms to the contact person. It will be sent by e-mail if the contact person provided an e-mail address and by regular mail if an e-mail address is not given. If you do not hear from us within two weeks of sending your form(s), contact us immediately. That likely means we have not received any form(s) from you!
If you have questions, please contact Mary Johnson by e-mail or at (304) 558-0230.
We look forward to a great History Day in 2017!
