ARRIVAL OF THE NEW COMMANDER OF THIS DEPARTMENT

Maj. Gen. Franz Sigel arrived in this city yesterday morning on the seven oíclock train from Pittsburg. He was stopping at the MíLure House during the day, where many of his friends visited him. We give below the General Orders relating to the command:

Major General Franz Sigel, U. S. Volunteers, is assigned to the command of the Department of West Virginia.
