Pole Raising. – There will be a pole raising at Moundsville, on Saturday at one o’clock. The attendance of all good Union men in this section of the county are invited. There will be several good speakers present.

At the pole raising in Moundsville, on Saturday afternoon, a rope to which two pair of oxen were hitched broke and one of the severed pieces struck Wm. Edwards on the head, knocking him senseless and injuring him very severely.
