Remember...Addie Duffield

| Addie Duffield, son of William Anderson and Mary Jerusha [Mollohan] Duffield, was born February 19, 1893 in Calhoun County at Chloe, West Virginia. Like most of the people in Calhoun County at that time, William Duffield made his living as a farmer. As a young man, Addie worked on the family farm, helping his father with all the work. | ![]() |

On June 5, 1917, Addie registered for the World War I draft. According to his draft registration card, he was 24 years old, medium height and build, with blue eyes and black hair. He served as a private in Co. L, 30th Infantry, which was part of the 3rd Infantry Division. |
